The machines used to produce disposable diapers are highly computerized in order to effectively detect the slightest inequality in the process. The computer alerts in case of machine lock, as well as end of tape or other material in use, and the goods collected in the 10 minutes prior to the signal and 10 minutes after the shooting are classified as rejection. Large multinational companies have an extremely high production volume so also a considerable waste. Some manufacturers sell their waste in the form of compressed bales, but others prefer to recycle it, or even destroy it. Each factory has its own way of managing the rejection and that is why there could be bales without or with stripped nylon wrapping, rather than bound with metal wire that damages furthermore the product inside. After collaborating with some of the major European manufacturers and experiencing with the different packaging options, we selected those used to provide clean products in really protective packing.
